Frequently Asked Questions

What is the time commitment?

Cub Scouts meet in their dens (with boys in their grade) about 2-3 times per month.  A Pack meeting is held for all Cub Scouts and their families once a month.  All meetings are held in the evenings at Eagle Point Elementary in the cafeteria.

How much does it cost?

Annual Dues:  $90 ($25 to Boy Scouts of America/ $12 for Boys Life Magazine / $53 for the Pack).  The money that goes to the pack is used for badges, patches, pack equipment and operating costs.
(Note: Annual dues may be lower at different times of the year based on the month that you join.  All dues are prorated.)

Other:  Special outings (camping, special events, etc.) are paid separate and per event. You only pay for activities in which you participate.  The pack also raises additional money through fundraising.

Why join the Cub Scouts?

FUN! (Learn about the outdoors, camping, archery, BB guns, model car, boat and rocket competitions, field trips and more!)  Boys also build character, learn life skills, experience adventure and participate in service projects for our community.

More about our Pack:

We are a very family oriented Pack.  We encourage all parents to get involved, and siblings may participate in many activities.  All the adults in leadership positions are parents of boys in the Pack and are volunteers.
