camping is one of the greatest programs that any scout can do. it should be one for the first things any boy scout should do once they join their troop. this is where they will learn many of their advancement programs, many merit badges, the camping merit badge that is eagle required. spend time under the stars, see nature first hand.

camp-o-ree is a district event for all troop / crew / and sometimes webelos dens. this is where patrols are tested on basic scouting skills. and earn their ribbon's for their patrol flags. it is also the time that scouts will get tap out for the order-of-the-arrow.

each patrol leader, is in charge of his own patrol for the whole weekend, from check-in, camp set up, cooking, and patrol events. even pick up's. this is one of the great leadership chances that a young scout can have for their leadership skills.
