Welcome to Pack 340

The Boy Scouts of America is one of the largest values-based youth development organization in the nation. It helps build character, citizenship, develop academic skills, self confidence, ethics, and leadership that the boys will carry with them in their adulthood. It instills the values found in the Scout Law: A Scout is...Trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful, Friendly, Courteous, Kind, Obedient, Cheerful, Thrifty, Brave, Clean, and Reverent.

The BSA has helped future leaders through the values and activities that have been taught in Boy Scouts. The Boy Scouts of America believe that helping our youth is the key to our future.

Pack 340: Our pack has been around for over 75 years. Hundreds of boys have grown through the ranks of cub scouts (6-11 years old), and then cross to the Troop 340 consisting of  Boy Scouts. We are proud to have continued this adventure for so many years. The Pack is all about the boy you are and the person you will become.

Pack Activities We Do

Pine Wood Derby: Build a car from a block of wood and race against the members of your pack. Parents have their own race.

Blue & Gold Banquet: This is a special celebration for the Webelos crossing over to Boy Scouts. All cub scouts are encouraged and welcome to join, as well as their families. Dinner is served.

Flag Planting at the VA: We honor our nations' heroes by planting flags on their graves alongside other Scout Packs and Troops. On a weekend around Memorial Day.

Raingutter Regatta: Fun summertime gathering when the Scouts and siblings can race wooden boats by blowing them along raingutters.

Pack Picnic: Summer activity for the Scouts and their families, packed with games and fun in a local city park.

Green Thumb Festival: The pack has a garden where we grow herbs and plants to sell at the local green festival. This is always at the end of April.

Family Camp: 4 times a year there is one night stay at either Camp Soule in Clearwater, or Sand Hill in Brooksville. It's a day of fun activities for the boys and their families. They are always on a Saturday to Sunday. Saturday night dinner and Sunday breakfast are cooked by the boy scouts.

Popcorn Sale: This is our main fundraiser that takes place in September. The cubs go door to door with an adult selling popcorn. We also have a booth on the weekends at a local grocery store for the month.
The sellers earn awards and money that can pay for the summer camps.

Scouting for Food“Scouting for Food” is the nation’s largest food drive. The “Scouting for Food” program facilitates food drives across the country to provide meals to the hungry.
